Anyone need to wash clothes? There's plenty of soap in the fountain!

It’s funny how such a simple thing can generate smiles (I watched for a few minutes as ladies came out of Merle and smiled as they saw all the foam).

Have a great Easter everyone!

We had a great group last night and an awesome time of worship centered on the cross.

The Cross

What does the cross mean to you personally? What does it make you think of?

V    What did the cross represent in Jesus day? Why was the message “foolishness”? I Cor 1:18; Phil 2:5-8

The cross was an instrument of punishment, torture, humiliation, and dominance.

V    What took place on the cross? What gives it power? Rom 5:8; Col 2:13-15; Heb 12:2; Is 53:4-6

The cross became an instrument of sacrificial love, forgiveness, redemption, and restoration.

V    What does the cross represent today? Gal 6:14; Matt 16:24; Lk 14:27

The empty cross (and tomb) symbolizes a risen victorious Christ – Yes, but don’t forget that it still represents sacrificial love. It is a call to take up the cross, to lose your life for the Kingdom's sake, to love as Jesus loves and in turn you actually find life.

Christianity is not just about a crucified Christ but about a crucified people!
